So..

In the early 80s in the Suburbs of Chicago there was no "cable" due to a weird territory dispute.

It didn't stop Pops from buying a special reciever and sticking a 30' tall "dish" on the roof of the house just to watch the Doobie Brothers Farewell concert..

Fun fact but not the point.

Around 1982 "Last Chance Garage" was the show. It didn't end well and the master copies were destroyed apparently.
